Despite recent harsh criticism from Milwaukee Police Chief Edward Flynn, legislation that would allow Wisconsin citizens the right to carry concealed firearms is finding support in the legislature, though perhaps with some unwelcome amendments requiring training and permits. A recent statement by Gov. Scott Walker also suggested that he was particularly apt to sign a bill with these requirements. Cam Edwards speaks with Darren LaSorte, NRA-ILA Manager of Hunting Policy who explains that the session clock is ticking, and though permits and training stipulations may be tacked on, the permitting process would still be streamlined, and citizens would be able to protect themselves.
