NRA-ILA Hunting Policy Liaison Lacey Biles talks to Cam Edwards about a bill in the Vermont House of Representatives to allow someone who has not taken a hunter's safety course to buy a $10 apprentice license, permitting them to hunt alongside a licensed hunter over the age of 21. Biles explains that this measure gives authority to parents and postpones, but does not eliminate, the need to take a safety course. A similar mentored hunting program has been a great success in Wisconsin, with no negative incidents reported.
