Senator Richard Burr of North Carolina joins Cam Edwards to talk about the Veterans Second Amendment Protection Act, legislation that would fix a loophole in which veterans currently can lose their right to bear arms when a fiduciary has been appointed to act on their behalf. These veterans are automatically deemed "mentally defective" on no other basis and reported to the FBI National Instant Criminal Background Check System, thereby becoming ineligible to exercise their Second Amendment freedom. The bill has passed through committee, and Burr hopes it will be introduced on the floor of the Senate soon. Originally aired 11/2/11.
