Today is the 222nd anniversary of the Constitution's signatures. On September 17, 1787, at the conclusion of the Constitutional Convention that began on May 14, 1787, the delegates from a budding nation signed the Supreme Law of the Land into existence. On tonight's History File, Cam Edwards talks about the history behind the document that has guided the United States of America for more than two centuries, and how the Bill of Rights, and the Second Amendment thereof, came to be added some time later after heated debates among delegates that began at the Convention.
