Ginny Simone reports from New York on the fourth day of United Nations meetings to update the organization's arms-trade agenda. She is joined by Tom Mason of the World Forum on the Future of Sport Shooting Activities (WFSA), who analyzes the draft released today of the Biennial Meeting's final statement. Mason expresses disappointment that the draft fails to acknowledge that the majority of gun owners in the world are law-abiding citizens, and that it states the intention of the UN to regulate ammunition alongside explosives. He says that the UN needs to recognize that civilian firearms are primarily tools for hunting, self-defense and other purposes, despite the "parade" of propaganda offered by anti-gun groups.
