In March 2009, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano announced that the U.S.-Mexico border vehicle searches would be expanded exponentially in order to recover the "thousands of guns" that were flooding into Mexico and fueling drug cartels in the country. However, U.S. officials have admitted that the searches are yielding very few weapons-numbers that simply do not add up with the estimates of guns smuggled that are frequently cited by anti-gun politicians. Ginny Simone speaks with Sheriff Paul Babeu of Pinal County, AZ about the situation. Originally aired 10/1/2010.
