Mexican officials recently reported that Joseph Proctor, 32, was shot and killed after attacking a Mexican army patrol in a beach town south of the U.S. border. He was found with an AR-15 in his hand, a detail that made his mother very suspicious considering that her son was a non-violent family man who, in the past, had overtly avoided guns. An investigation revealed that three Mexican soldiers had been charged with the killing and with planting evidence that Proctor attacked them first. Cam Edwards speaks with Pinal County, Arizona Sheriff Paul Babeu who says that this story is unfortunately unsurprising given the corrupt Mexican government and the terrible violence at the border.
