Family fights to keep murderer jailed for three more years. On tonight's Deal of the Day, Cam Edwards tells the story of a father and ex-husband of two murder victims who must fight to keep his family's killer behind bars. Martin Tonn was convicted for murdering Cathy Keith in 2001 in a plea deal that guaranteed he would not be charged for Cathy's mother's killing. He was sentenced to 30 years, though under the mandatory release law that was then in effect, the most he can serve of that time is 11 years for the brutal stabbings that he inflicted in 1985. Eight years after DNA evidence finally put him behind bars, he is up for parole, and Doug Keith is trying to make sure that Tonn at least serves the full 11 years for the heinous crimes he committed.
