Legislation that would allow law-abiding citizens the right to defend themselves on college and university campuses has passed the Texas Senate as an amendment to a higher education spending measure. Senator Jeff Wentworth attached Campus Carry to the other bill to keep things moving-especially after the clock ran out on a similar bill in 2009. Cam Edwards speaks with Wentworth about the victory and the opposition to Campus Carry, though Wentworth says that the House has 85 co-sponsors of the legislation out of 150 members, so he does not expect that it will have any trouble passing the next steps.
