In Pennsylvania, ordinances that would have required law-abiding gun owners to report lost or stolen firearms within 72 hours of the incident have been defeated. Such measures are unconstitutional, and rectifying municipal laws with state preemption laws would ultimately be costly for the state. Kim Stolfer of Firearms Owners Against Crime (FOAC) reports that Baldwin and Radnor townships have defeated these measures with the efforts of Pennsylvania gun owners who made their voices heard.
