Since the Texas legislature only meets every other year, sessions in The Lone Star State are always a race against the clock. This year Alice Tripp, Legislative Director of the Texas State Rifle Association (TSRA), says there are two major legislative issues that TSRA is determined to push through this year: Campus Carry to protect the right to self defense for legal permit holders on college and university campuses in the state, and The Commuter Protection Act which would protect the jobs of employees who want to keep legally-owned firearms locked in their vehicles while they are parked in their company's parking lot.
