Under current Illinois law, the carrying a firearm, concealed or unconcealed, in public for personal protection is considered Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Illinois is the only state with no provision for right-to-carry. Two lawsuits have been filed against this unconstitutional ban: Moore v. Madigan and Shepard, et al. v. Madigan.
