On this edition of Deal of the Day, Cam Edwards shares a story from Tennessee where police and prosecutor groups are backing a proposal by the state legislature that would increase sentences in state courts for felons found with guns. Most offenders would have 1-2 years tacked on, drug offenders would have 2-4 additional years and violent felons would get 3-6 extra years. Advocates for the measure say that currently felons with guns in Tennessee are hardly given a slap on the wrist when they are caught. Originally aired 5/31/2011.
