On tonight's Deal of the Day, Cam Edwards reports that 19-year-old Michael Hunter, Jr. of Baltimore, Maryland pleaded guilty to illegal possession of a .22-caliber pistol last fall. Based on the fact that the handgun was broke, the judge reduced the charge against Hunter, and he was released on probation just two months later. Now Hunter is charged with the murder of 72-year-old Vietnam veteran Charles Bowman in the course of a restaurant robbery. Alleged accomplice Troy Taylor, 18, was also on probation at the time of the murder and had been arrested days earlier for possession of marijuana.
