On this edition of Civil Rights Roundup, Cam Edwards speaks with NRA Deputy General Counsel Stefan Tahmassebi about Peruta v. County of San Diego. The plaintiffs in this case were denied concealed carry permits on the basis that "self-defense" was not a valid cause for needing a concealed carry license. Peruta subsequently exhausted all administrative options for appealing the denial of his license before filing suit against the city for violating his Second Amendment civil rights. Tahmassebi explains how California's "may-issue" policy has thus been abused in Peruta's case. Originally aired 1/12/2011.
