Good news for Virginia gun owners after several gun bills went before the House Militia Subcommittee. Dave Adams of the Virginia Shooting Sports Association (VSSA) reports that two of three anti-gun bills were struck down outright, and the third will be amended before a decision is made. Several pro-gun bills were also successful including House Bill 1217, allowing public schools to offer Eddie Eagle firearms education courses in the curriculum, and House Bill 490, permitting the issuance of lifetime concealed carry licenses. More firearms legislation is set to be heard after the inclement weather passes in the state.
