On this edition of Civil Rights Roundup, NRA Deputy General Counsel Stefan Tahmassebi discusses the details of D'Cruz v. BATFE, filed yesterday by the NRA in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas Lubbock Division. The aim of the lawsuit is to lift the prohibition on 18-20-year-old adults who currently cannot purchase a handgun from a federally licensed firearm dealer under current laws. Tahmassebi explains that the plaintiff in this case is an accomplished shooter with many prestigious awards in the shooting sports. James D'Cruz is considered an adult in the country within the application of most laws and should be allowed to exercise his Second Amendment rights. Originally aired 9/8/2010.
