Evan Hughes of the Vermont Federation of Sportsmen's Clubs (VTFSC) speaks with Ginny Simone by phone about H. 484, a bill being heard in the Vermont House Fish, Wildlife, and Water Resources Committee. The bill, which proposes regulating an ill-defined range of lead-containing products, could easily be interpreted as banning ammunition outright in the state. Hughes mentions that the Vermont Public Interest Research Group (VPIRG), which is the main supporter of the bill, has had ample opportunity to state that this is not their intention, but they have declined to do so.
