In the first successful filibuster of a judicial nominee since 2005, the Senate Republicans blocked the nomination of Berkley law professor Goodwin Liu to the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. Cam Edwards speaks with Dave Kopel, Research Director for the Independence Institute, who explains that Liu had no practical legal experience, believed in ignoring certain parts of the constitution while implementing ideology that was not in the constitution and had written several articles illustrating that he would show extreme bias in a branch of the court system mostly responsible for interpreting the law.
