Gary Bowers defends family from armed, drunk man while camping. On tonight's Hero of the Day, Cam Edwards shares the story from Grays Harbor County, Washington, where Westin Wolff, 25, was fatally shot after he threatened a family with a machete. Wolff was drunk when he stumbled onto the Bowers' campsite at Lake Wynooche, and Gary Bowers immediately demanded that the intruder leave. Wolff complied but then returned with the weapon and advanced on the family despite warning shots fired in the air by Bowers. Finally, Bowers shot him in the chest and protected his loved ones.
