California civil-rights attorney Chuck Michel talks to Ginny Simone about the news that the city of Richmond, California has retracted its ban on magazines holding more than ten rounds. The NRA was threatening a lawsuit over the ban, and local leaders apparently responded to a city attorney's advice that the ordinance was not defensible in court. Michel says that no one in Richmond appears to have done the proper legal research before proposing the ban, and that the city was likely responding to a suggestion by the anti-gun Legal Community Against Violence (LCAV). Richmond will decide in January whether to vote on a different ordinance that does not so blatantly pre-empt state law.
