Last session, Ohio State Representative Danny Bubp's Restaurant Carry Bill was blocked from a floor vote despite strong support. This year similar legislation, House Bill 45, that would allow law abiding gun owners with concealed carry permits to carry their firearms in establishments that serve alcohol and also would reform carry in vehicles, has been passed out of House committee and is headed to the floor. A similar senate bill, Senate Bill 17, has passed and is now headed to the House as well. Cam Edwards speaks with Rep. Bubp who says gun owners should get involved and show their support, especially as opposition has arisen from the Ohio Restaurant Association and some law enforcement groups.
