NRA-ILA Spokeswoman Rachel Parsons responds to a recently published article in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review titled "NRA effort to attract women off target" by Eric Heyl. In this misogynistic rant, Heyl explains that women are less interested in guns than men because "spending several hundred dollars on a serviceable handgun might leave them without enough money to get the full treatment at that next visit to the day spa" and other such "reasons." Parsons says that, aside from the obvious misogyny, Heyl is moreover off target himself: there are products, fashions and custom firearms specifically for women, and more women are becoming involved with shooting activities every day.
