Current California law allows open carry of unloaded weapons with separate ammunition, and for citizens to load these firearms in situations of "eminent danger." However, Los Angeles City Council President Eric Garcetti has recently moved to ban open carry within city limits. Cam Edwards speaks with California Civil Rights Attorney Chuck Michel who explains that even if Garcetti is successful, he would likely force an ironic necessity for concealed carry in the state according to federal law.
