The Wall Street Journal published "The Soft-on-Crime Roots of British Disorder" by George Mason University School of Law Professor Joyce Lee Malcolm, author of Guns and Violence: The English Experience. In the article, Prof. Malcolm discusses the recent London Riots and the modern British culture, beginning in the 1950s, that shows resistance to prosecuting criminals, especially youth criminals, and refers to self-defense as "vigilantism."
