Chairman of the New Jersey Outdoor Alliance (NJOA) Anthony Mauro talks to Cam Edwards about efforts to begin culling the state's expanding black bear population. An initiative to hold a small hunt in December has passed in the New Jersey Fish and Game Council and been approved by the Environmental Protection Commissioner, and will soon be subject to a public hearing. Mauro says that science demonstrates the need for the hunt, and the growing number of attacks on pets and humans shows that the bear population has grown too large for the small state.
