The Pew Center on the States has published a study reflecting that 40% of ex-cons will commit crimes within three years of release that will put them back in prison. This number remains almost as high as it was ten years ago though spending on correctional departments in that time has gone up from $30 billion to $52 billion per year. Cam Edwards speaks with Frank Borelli, Editor-in-Chief of, who says these numbers are not surprising-of course criminals will commit crimes. Originally aired 4/14/2011.
