The Second Amendment attorney representing the NRA in the McDonald v. City of Chicago Supreme Court case talks with Cam Edwards after the hearing today. Clement says the oral arguments went well overall, and he believes the two essential messages were conveyed to the Supreme Court Justices today: first that the Second Amendment should be incorporated and apply to the 50 states like other amendments in the Bill of Rights of the Constitution; and second, that the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment is a vehicle by which the logical conclusion of Second Amendment Incorporation can be reached.
