On this edition of Deal of the Day, Cam Edwards shares a story from Columbus, Ohio where Malyk Shelby avoided a third trial in the shooting dealth of Daequan Nix by pleading guilty to involuntary manslaughter. Shelby killed Nix when he shot into a group of teens that were gathered behind the vacant house next door to his family's home (Shelby was 16 at the time), and he was acquitted in the first trial of purposefully killing Nix but the jury could not decide whether he was guilty of causing the death by committing felonious assault. He has now been sentenced to only two years, though a decision from juvenile court is still pending. Originally aired 10/5/2011.
