Ohio homeowner shoots at burglar, and a bride saves a Connecticut family. On today's "Hero of the Day," Cam Edwards tells two stories: one of an armed citizen, and one of a good Samaritan. In Lima, Ohio, a man fired a .22 at an intruder who broke into his home, protecting his life and his property.
In Bridgeport, Connecticut, newlywed Georgette Clemons saved the lives of the Eitelberg family by pounding on the door to warn them of the fire in their house. Clemons was still in her wedding gown from her reception when she noticed smoke rising from the home. She stopped the car and ran onto the porch, willfully sacrificing the dress to help rescue the victims.
