Recently the New York City Council heard an anti-gun measure that would subject licensed gun owners to a possible year in jail and a $10,000 fine if they are legally intoxicated while in possession of a firearm. The bill is backed by Mayor Michael Bloomberg and the NYPD, and it excludes on- and off-duty cops. Ginny Simone speaks with Tom King of the New York State Rifle & Pistol Association (NYSRPA) who explains that this law would single civilian gun owners out and unjustly subject them to a special set of standards.
