The court has granted a motion filed by the NRA and the California Rifle & Pistol Association (CRPA) that had been brought against the City of Los Angeles regarding the Los Angeles Police Department's (LAPD) concealed weapons permit (CCW) processing and issuance policies. Cameron Gray and John Popp speak with Attorney Chuck Michel who explains that the LAPD had been avoiding its obligations to comply with a consent judgment from the 1995 case Assenza v. City of Los Angeles. Every police station is supposed to make available and accessible the CCW information and applications. Originally aired 6/10/2011.
