On tonight's Civil Rights Roundup, NRA Deputy General Counsel Stefan Tahmassebi tells Cam Edwards about the current status of Nordyke v. King, an important gun-ban case under review by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. The case, funded by the NRA Civil Rights Defense Fund in support of Russell and Sally Nordyke's gun show promotional business in California, was recently remanded to the original panel of judges who had ruled in favor of the incorporation of the Second Amendment against state law. Now rather than simply restating their prior ruling, the judges have requested supplemental briefs addressing the effects of Supreme Court case McDonald v. City of Chicago on incorporation doctrine. Tahmassebi explains the possible outcome of this development, which may affect the level of judicial scrutiny applied. Originally aired 7/21/2010.
