In an interview with Robert VerBruggen of the National Review Online, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie said that unfortunately he did not think there was much possibility that there would be reform to the Graves Act since the legislature continues to hold an anti-gun majority. The Graves Act, which mandates that anyone caught in illegal possession of a firearm under New Jersey's strict gun laws be sentenced to at least 3 years in prison, has lead to the persecution of many gun owners. Cam Edwards speaks with Scott Bach of the Association of New Jersey Rifle and Pistol Clubs (ANJRPC) who says that reform is coming "like it or not," because if it does not go through the legislature, these gun laws will be challenged in court as unconstitutional.
