The New Jersey Assembly Law & Public Safety Committee is reviewing A4308 and A4304, proposed "fixes" to the poorly-drafted "One Gun A Month" legislation that was signed into law by Governor Jon Corzine in Summer 2009. The new law would allow necessary exemptions from this statewide gun rationing for firearms collectors, competitors, retailers and manufacturers. While the only real fix would be repealing the "One Gun" law altogether, Rob Nixon, lobbyist for the Association of New Jersey Rifle & Pistol Clubs (ANJRPC), says these improvements would at least be a step in the right direction.
