Director of Government Relations for the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) talks to Cam Edwards about the current status of New York Senate Bill 6005A, which was removed from the agenda by Democrats in anticipation of its defeat. Now anti-gun legislators are looking to bring the bill back for a vote following a final push to muster support for it. McGuigan says that there is no indication that New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg or other supporters of the bill have convinced anyone in the Senate to change sides, so they may be hoping that not all of the Republicans will show up to vote. As long as the Republicans and the three Democrats who oppose the bill are present, this expensive and pointless piece of legislation should once again fail to pass into law.
