Beginning, February 1, 2011, a new California law stemming from a 2009 Assembly Bill, A.B. 962, will require firearms retailers to record a thumbprint and ID for anyone purchasing ammunition. This information will be kept available for five years after the most recent purchase at any given time. Cam Edwards speaks with NRA-ILA California State Liaison Ed Worley who says the NRA and the California Rifle & Pistol Association are contesting this intrusive, costly and unnecessary law.
