On this edition of Deal of the Day, Cam Edwards shares a story from New York City, where 25-year-old Careem Johnson accepted a plea deal and was sentenced to only 25 years for a murder that was caught on video in 2008. Prosecutors were hesitant to take the case against Johnson because his arresting officer was the center of a NYPD ticket fixing scandal. Had the arresting officer not been part of the scandal, Johnson would have been convicted to life in prison. Four other open cases against Johnson have been dismissed as part of the "sweetheart" deal offered to make sure Johnson served some time behind bars. Johnson is expected to serve 18 out of his 25-year sentence with good behavior. Originally aired 10/28/11.
