Congressman says semiauto ban doesn't have full legislative support. Mike Ross (D-Ark.) addresses NRA members at the Celebration of American Values Leadership Forum in Phoenix, Arizona from Washington, D.C. to let them know that the anti-gun campaign is not necessarily working on elected officials regardless of its apparent impact on the media. As news sources and liberal politicians lobby for the reinstatement of the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban, Ross says legislators have written Attorney General Eric Holder to let him know that his intent to compromise Second Amendment freedoms will be strongly opposed. "We know, like [NRA members] do, that the 1994 semi-automatic gun ban did not succeed," says the congressman. "In fact, it failed miserably."
