On this edition of Deal of the Day, Cam Edwards shares a story from Benton Harbor, Michigan where Donnell Williams, 34, was let out after serving only 3 years of a 3-20 year sentence for assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder. This was his fourth stint in jail with a record dating back to 1992, but the state was looking to help their budget. Months after his release, he spotted a man he had a previous argument with and shot at him. A stray bullet hit a little girl who suffered a severe spinal injury and now cannot move her leg. Williams has been charged with two counts of assault with intent to murder, two counts of felony firearm and possession of a firearm by a felon. Hopefully this time he will remain behind bars.
