On tonight's Civil Rights Roundup, NRA Deputy General Counsel Stefan Tahmassebi talks to Cam Edwards about the ins and outs of McDonald v. Chicago, which challenges the constitutionality of the city's gun ban. This massively important Supreme Court case is set to define whether the Second Amendment restricts the actions of the federal government only, or of state and local governments as well. Tahmassebi gives details about the case schedule along with pointers on how to attend the oral arguments starting March 2, which are open to the public. He notes that anti-gun groups such as the Brady Campaign seem to be focusing on preserving gun-control measures already on the books, as public opinion and judicial precedent make it unwise for them to openly oppose the individual right to bear arms.
