NRA Illinois Lobbyist Todd Vandermyde talks to Cam Edwards about the new city ordinance that Chicago Mayor Richard Daley is attempting to rush through the City Council. This new set of gun restrictions, which would by many accounts be the strictest in the nation, limits gun ownership to one operable model per household and prohibits use of a gun outside of the immediate home. It also requires training that will not be publicly offered within city limits and bans gun stores in Chicago. Vandermyde says that obviously Daley is not respecting the spirit of the Supreme Court's ruling in McDonald v. City of Chicago, and the NRA will do whatever it takes to defend the gun rights of Chicago residents. Originally aired 7/1/2010.
