Executive Director of the Gun Owners Action League (GOAL) Jim Wallace tells Cam Edwards that a recent article in the newsletter for the Massachusetts Chiefs of Police Association identifies "problem areas" relating to firearm licensing in the state. Wallace says that abuses of the discretion held by police chiefs over licensing have helped to inspire House Bill 2259, which would include the elimination of chief discretion in its massive reform of state firearms law. He applauds the authors of the article for recognizing these problems and says that they should not be opposed to the legal protection of firearms rights.
