Executive Director of the Gun Owners Action League (GOAL) Jim Wallace talks to Cam Edwards about Massachusetts House Bill 4102, sponsored by Governor Deval Patrick (D). The bill, which would enact an especially strict one-gun-a-month policy with no exemptions for hunters, failed to make it out of committee on its first vote but was narrowly approved the second time around. Wallace says that the bill moved forward only because dissenting committee members were pressured to withhold their votes, and even some major Massachusetts newspapers are beginning to criticize the legislation. The state already has a number of laws on the books that are designed to fight the interstate gun trafficking that is a supposed target of House Bill 4102, but criminals often find that these laws are not enforced.
