On this edition of Deal of the Day, Cam Edwards shares a story from Arlington, Texas where Steven Lawayne Nelson, 24, faces charges of capital murder and attempted capital murder for the suffocation of Pastor Clint Dobson, 28, and the severe beating of his assistant, Judy Elliott. Nelson had previously served jail time on theft and robbery convictions, but was only previously charged with a violent crime recently when he was accused of aggravated assault against his girlfriend. When the victim would not testify, Nelson entered a plea deal to complete an anger management course for the crime and be given 8 years probation. Three days after completing the course, however, Nelson allegedly killed the minister before his first meeting with the probation officer. Originally aired 4/5/2011.
