Governor Deval Patrick of Massachusetts recently made a statement accusing the Gun Owners Action League (GOAL) and other pro-gun groups of stalling his flawed One Gun A Month bill in the Judiciary Committee. He also points the finger at these groups for the tragic shooting of a 14-year-old boy in Boston last weekend. Jim Wallace of GOAL tells Ginny Simone that beyond the outrageousness of these insinuations, Gov. Patrick's statement implicates that GOAL lobbies for guns when in fact they are a lobby for civil rights and public safety. References to the "gun lobby," Wallace explains, are dehumanizing and demoralizing.
