In a recent decision, the Intermediate Court of Appeals in New York ruled 4-0 that Nassau County, New York's ban on "deceptively colored" handguns is preempted by New York State's handgun licensing law. The ordinance had banned guns that were manufactured in unconventional colors, such as pink. No move has yet been made to appeal the decision and reinstate the law. Ginny Simone speaks with Robert Firriolo, the attorney for the gun owners who challenged the ban, about how this ruling might impact other bans in the state--such as Mayor Michael Bloomberg's in New York City.
