Former Kansas State Senator Phil Journey (R) talks to Cam Edwards about the first three years of concealed carry in Kansas, legalized in a bill sponsored by Journey in 2004. The former senator feels vindicated by the results, and he points out that anti-gun commentators have used the fear of "Wild West" lawlessness against concealed-carry measures since the 1980's, regardless of the fact that reality continues to disprove their assertions. There is still room for improvement in Kansas gun laws, and Journey speaks of cutting license prices and decreasing the burden of background checks.
