The NRA past president speaks about the NRA's long history and strong relationship with law enforcement to members at the 2010 NRA Annual Meetings in Charlotte, NC. Because of his own background as a police officer, Kayne Robinson knows from experience that in most cases of attack or home invasion, the police will not be able to make it in time to help the victim. However, "with the NRA standing like an oak as your partner," he says, "your home, your family, your nation will survive in the face of crime and terrorism." Kayne Robinson has served as the assistant chief of police in Des Moines, IA, and he is currently the executive director of general operations for the National Rifle Association.
