Cam Edwards speaks with "Joe The Cop," a blogger in the Chicago area who writes "Arresting Tales" on ChicagoNow.com. "Joe" says he is actually a police officer who has been on the job for 21 years, and consequently remembers a history of gang troubles that should be helping the Windy City to learn from its mistakes. However, with the recent meeting between Chicago Police Superintendent Jody Weis and gang leaders and the ensuing circus where gang members are calling themselves "community leaders" and demanding funding for programs, "Joe" says the memory among his colleagues is apparently too shortsighted.
